Privacy Policy

This document explains what data is collected when you use Timer Quiz website.

What data do we collect?

From quiz authors:

• We collect and store unique identifier of your Google account (aka Google ID)
• We store your quizzes - their names, questions and answers

From quiz participants:

• Display name
• Score in the quizzes where they participated
• Time when the last answer was made

How do we collect your data?

• When you sign up into the system via "Log in with Google" button, we store your Google ID
• When you create a new quiz, we store the information you enter
• When you are participating in a quiz, we ask your display name (can be arbitraty value) before you can join
• When you answer a question in a quiz, we store the time of the last answer and update your score

How do we use your data?

• We use your Google ID so that we can identify you and sign you in
• We display the quiz name, questions and answers to the author and external participants when quiz is started and until it is finished or aborted. Quiz can only be started and finished or aborted explicitly by the quiz author. Quizzes can only be joined if you know the 6-digit PIN code that author gets whenever he starts a new quiz.
• We show participant display names to the quiz author. Whenever quiz is started over, list of participants from last run is cleared.
• We show participant scores to the quiz author. Whenever quiz is started over, list of participants from last run is cleared.
• We use the time of the last answer to determine if this participant has answered the question already or not.

How do we store your data?

• Your data is stored in MongoDb Atlas cluster, hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud.

What are your data protection rights?

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

• The right to access – You have the right to request for copies of your personal data.
• The right to rectification – You have the right to request us to correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure – You have the right to request us to erase your personal data.
• The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
• The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to processing of your personal data by us.
• The right to data portability – You have the right to request us to transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
